Watch out world, the UK has a new acting star shimmering on the horizon. Stephanie Hume aged 20 from Hassocks has won the Persona 'Drama Idol' contest in Brighton.

Stephanie wowed the judges with her luminous audition last week, judge Rachel D'Cruze said 'We saw a spark in Stephanie and felt that she had something really special', Stephanie has been awarded a prized place on Persona Acting's ten week acting course.
What Stephanie says. I have always enjoyed performance from a young age and drama was always my favourite lesson at school. When I was about 7, and much to my dismay, I was cast as a chorus member for Winnie the Pooh. I told my teacher that I wanted a bigger part, so they created a new character just for me.the tree that held owl's tree house! Probably my most embarrassing role to date! However, my moment came a few years later when I was 10 and I was given the lead role of Sarah in 'The Little Princess'. I've had the acting bug ever since! Whether I'm being captivated by the tragedy of 'Therésè Raquin' or belting out the words to 'Fame' I know that acting is the life for me.
