About Michael D'Cruze...
Michael was born 5 years before Rachel and despite being around the world several times, has returned to his home town Brighton. Michael trained for three years at the Guildford School of Acting in 1984-1987 receiving a National Diploma in Musical Theatre and winning Student of the Year in 1986. His acting career spans 20 years with roles as diverse as Malvolio (Twelfth Night), Caiaphas (British Tour, Jesus Christ Superstar), David (Poor Super Man by Brad Fraser), Tony (I Know What You Want) (Komedia / Incisor UK Tour & Edinburgh Festival) and 7 Roles in The Tinderbox (Gardner Arts Brighton). Michael's work has taken him to the Edinburgh Festival, Circa theatre in Wellington, New Zealand, Paris, Los Angeles, Dubai, Spain, Germany, Norway and Switzerland to name the memorable as well as several British tours. As director Michael's credits include, Friends Like Us* (The Arts Theatre, London - *Co-writer), The Ugly Man, Ashes and Sand (The CAT Factory), Into the Woods (The London School of Musical Theatre), Elegies for Punks, Angels and Raging Queens (Bridewell, London & Komedia, Brighton). In 1993 as Artistic Director and founding member, Michael formed the Co-Active Theatre Factory (CAT Factory) in Brighton, taking part as either actor or director, in five productions at the Komedia and the BAC, London. Michael has also worked as a Casting Director casting numerous television commercials from Just Juice, M n M's and The All Black's Supporters Club. He was also the assistant casting director on the feature films, Rapa Nui, White Fang, The Tommy Knockers and the television drama Typhon's People. Acting Teacher Michael has taught acting and drama technique for The London Drama School, The South East Playwrights Guild, The CAT Factory, Plume Actors & Model Agency, Ad-Lib, DH Actors Agency and The London School of Musical Theatre.
