Welcome to Persona Acting™. My name is Michael D'Cruze, I'm 43 years old have been acting professionally for 22 years, wow half my life, but in reality for most of my life. Most of us act to some degree from a very early age. We do it all the time, at work, out socialising, with our mother, lover, friend or foe. I trained for 3 years at the Guildford School of Acting (1984-1987) and I still think it offers one of the best all round training of any drama school. It made me the versatile actor I am and allowed me to play seven different roles in The Tinderbox (now I'm showing off!). I felt that I had to be able to do Shakespeare one day and a commercial for beer the next, followed by "whoops there goes me bloomers" at somewhere-by-the-sea! I just wanted to act! I've performed in most areas, including television, radio, musical theatre, voiceovers and commercials. I'm not rich, I'm not famous, but I wouldn't change it for the world. I quite simply love my job. Over the last few years I've been directing and teaching at the London Drama School and London School of Musical Theatre. I have discovered that I love to share my knowledge of what it is to be a jobbing actor. Advice and aftercare is of the utmost importance to me and students will always be able to contact me after their course. We've worked together before, I've been director to her producer, she's been producer to my leading man and more importantly we survived and didn't kill each other! So we've created something we're dead chuffed with! A 10 week course open to both beginners who know nothing, or very little about acting, and to professionals who are a bit rusty and want a refresher course.
